Job summary

CMS Warsaw is seeking an Associate to join our Corporate/M&A practice. You will advise on corporate matters, manage transaction documentation, conduct due diligence, and draft opinions while collaborating with teams across jurisdictions.

The role emphasizes ownership of tasks, thorough analysis and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate holds a qualification to practice as an Attorney-at-Law or Advocate, has M&A experience from a law firm, and speaks fluent English.

Qualifications

• Qualified Attorney-at-Law (radca prawny) or Advocate (adwokat).
• Experience in Corporate/M&A gained in a law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of company law and M&A transactions.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Collaborative mindset, commitment to professional development, and ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on corporate law and M&A matters.
• Preparing and managing transaction and corporate documentation.
• Participating in due diligence reviews and preparing reports and recommendations for clients.
• Analysing legal regulations and drafting legal opinions and memoranda.
• Collaborating with clients and specialist teams in Poland and across other jurisdictions.
• Supporting Partners and Counsel in the delivery of complex transactional projects.
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
