Fresha operates a global marketplace platform for the beauty and wellness industry. Its all-in-one platform provides bookings, point-of-sale, marketing, and other tools for businesses while connecting consumers with local services.

• Deliver hands-on technical work and code;
• Own and deliver cross-team and cross-tribe technical initiatives;
• Own the architecture for a tribe;
• Provide technical guidance and make architectural and design decisions;
• Create broad improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across business-critical systems;
• Ensure timely delivery of team projects;
• Lead by example and ensure adherence to engineering practices;
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and QA to establish clear goals and regularly deliver user value;
• Facilitate continuous learning and improvement for the team;
• Ensure owned systems meet quality, reliability, and scalability standards;
• Anticipate broad technical changes and keep Fresha ahead of the curve;
• Make system-wide trade-offs and articulate scaling and reliability limits;
• Build systems, author tools, and introduce policies or patterns that improve organisation-wide productivity;
• Communicate Fresha’s technology externally through talks and blog posts;
• Identify topics for external communication and guide content creation;
• Lead internal discussions on significant technology areas, build consensus, and inspire engineers.

• Deep experience building and interacting with AI agents and integrating them into engineering workflows;
• Ensure AI-generated code meets architecture, security, and Senior Engineer quality standards;
• Consistently deliver large systems involving contributions from one or more teams on time and with high quality;

• Debug complex technical problems;
• Contribute to multi-year technology strategy for critical business areas spanning multiple systems and teams;
• Create adaptable architectures for uncertain future requirements;
• Build strong relationships across the business and influence upwards;
• Facilitate debates, reach consensus, and communicate decisions clearly;
• Set short- to medium-term technical direction and plan improvements 6-12 months ahead;
• Act as a role model and mentor for technical team members;
• Make significant contributions to core and side projects;
• Consistently simplify projects, services, and processes;
• Shape broad architecture and deliver large services, complex libraries, or major infrastructure;
• Demonstrate positive impact on the company’s technical trajectory;
