Job summary

Infinity Quest Limited is seeking a skilled UNIX/Linux administrator to manage Red Hat environments across multiple systems in Kraków, Poland. You will implement automation, perform patching, and ensure security and high availability for critical services.

The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, networking knowledge, and collaboration with infrastructure, security, and application teams. Excellent English communication is essential.

Job description

• Solid knowledge of UNIX/Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, 7, 8 and 9.
• Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux operating-system concepts, including processes, services, filesystems, permissions and user management.
• Good knowledge of shell scripting, particularly Bash, for automation and operational support.
• Experience with system monitoring, log analysis and performance troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with patching, package management and vulnerability remediation using tools such as YUM/DNF and RPM.
• Knowledge of server hardening and security controls in line with infrastructure and operational standards.
• Experience managing high-availability production environments and supporting critical business services.
• Deep knowledge of diagnosing and resolving UNIX/Linux incidents quickly and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across operating-system, application, storage and network layers.
• Experience with backup and restore processes, filesystem management and capacity monitoring.
• Knowledge of automation and configuration-management tools such as Ansible is advantageous.
• Experience with incident and change management, including understanding and working within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Demonstrated ownership of critical production services, including out-of-hours support and major operational events.
• Ability to work collaboratively with infrastructure, application, security and service-management teams.
