Amentum is seeking a Fire Alarm and Suppression Mechanic to perform life safety trades related to fire alarm and suppression systems. Responsibilities include installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with specifications and codes.

The role requires a High School diploma and at least 3 years of related experience, plus the ability to lift 45 lbs and basic computer skills. Flexibility for variable hours may be needed for preventative maintenance and emergencies.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
3 years' minimum experience in fire alarm/suppression field.
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Computer Skills - Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsabilités

installing or repairing equipment such as smoke detectors, pull stations, mass notification devices, strobes, tamper switches, fire alarm control panels, UPS batteries, and wiring; reading from blueprints, drawings, or specifications; locating and diagnosing troubles/alarms in the system; performing load calculations and using electrical testing instruments.
Fire suppression duties include fire sprinkler repair, inspection and testing; experience with backflow preventers, fire pumps, sprinkler heads, water flow and switches; knowledge of wet and dry sprinkler systems; ability to identify code/non-conformance issues.
