Job summary

University of the National Education Commission, Krakow invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) at the Institute of Health Sciences. The role focuses on education of students, delivering high-quality teaching, and active participation in the academic community's organisation.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree and strong linguistic research output. The appointment is temporary and full-time, starting March 1, 2027, in Poland.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Polish Philology or Speech and Language Therapy.
• Knowledge of English (at least B2).
• Current record of academic output in linguistics.
• Teaching experience delivering classes to students.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Advantage: experience in conducting speech and language therapy assessments and treatment for language disorders.
• Advantage: research interests in phonetics of Polish, descriptive grammar, pragmatics, lexis and semantics.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out tasks related to the education of students.
• Delivering high-quality teaching.
• Actively participating in the organisational life of the academic community, including organisational activities for the benefit of the Chair and the Institute.
• Academic development and the publication of research findings in academic monographs and in national and international journals in Polish and foreign languages.
• Cooperation with external stakeholders.
• Carrying out tasks and fulfilling duties assigned by superiors.
