Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer Lead to oversee Supply Chain Engineering across welding, fabrication, machining and assembly. You will work with Product Engineering, lead supplier qualification, and drive cost-reduction initiatives while coordinating with a dispersed team.

The role is fully remote with up to 50% travel, requiring a strong engineering background, nuclear industry experience, and certifications or a plan to pursue relevant credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in manufacturing operations (ASME Section IX; AWS welding).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
• Experience with Commercial Grade Dedication (desirable).
• Experience with non-destructive examinations (PT, MT, UT, RT) and material testing desirable.
• Certifications such as CMfgE, CWI, ASNT Level III or equivalent with a plan to pursue

Responsibilities

• Lead Supply Chain Engineering activities including welding, large fabrication, machining and assembly.
• Provide input to the design process and develop supplier processes.
• Lead supplier development and qualification for new products and manage project schedules.
• Lead cost reduction activities within the supply base.
• Mentor members of the Supplier Performance Engineering teams.
• Maintain industry knowledge through training and process councils.
