Job summary

Sabre Corporation in Kraków is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Order Management System (OMS) team. You will act as tech anchor for a dev squad, designing, coding, and delivering high‑throughput Java services in a cloud environment.

The role requires strong hands‑on Java, Spring Boot, containers, Kubernetes, and experience leading teams. You will collaborate with global partners and participate in architectural decisions within an agile, hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Java programming (including Java 17).
• Experience with server-side Java 11+ frameworks and open-source tech.
• Strong understanding of Java ecosystem, monitoring and diagnosis.
• Containers, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Cloud deployments, preferably GCP.
• Proven Agile/Lean practices and team leadership.
• Excellent English/Polish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, codes, tests and debugs moderately complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software.
• Be tech anchor/TL for one of dev teams.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
• Be part and lead discussions on tech panels and propose improvements.

• Designs, builds and demonstrates prototype applications.

Order Managements System (OMS) team is looking for a talented Lead Engineer. • Expert practical knowledge on Agile and Lean processes
• Experience in leading dev team/being tech anchor
