Job summary

Magentateam is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead software development initiatives for projects within the German public sector. You will act as the technical authority, translating customer requirements into scalable and secure architectures while guiding development teams through the full delivery lifecycle.

This remote role involves collaboration with an international team and quarterly presence at HQ.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as Software Architect
• 3+ years backend development experience
• Cloud-based architectures experience
• Experience leading 6-8 engineers
• Proficient in German and English

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical architectures and implementation plans.
• Design scalable, cloud-native solutions and define tech stacks.
• Define system interfaces and integration concepts.
• Prepare effort estimations and roadmaps.
• Lead architecture discussions with customers and stakeholders.
• Present and defend technical solutions in meetings.
• Provide guidance throughout the software lifecycle and mentor teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, DevOps, and QA to ensure quality.
