Job summary

Sabre in Kraków is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the PNR SRE Team. You will ensure stability, automate delivery, and boost release velocity across Sabre's Reservations services in a global, distributed setup.

Ideal candidates bring strong GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience, with a proactive approach to observability, incident response, and collaboration across teams. Hybrid work includes 3 office days per week in Kraków.

Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform knowledge.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Good collaboration within the team and across the organization.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Linux/UNIX, Terraform, shell scripting, networking basics.
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools: AppDynamics, Google Cloud ops, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Change Management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support for applications during 8–12 hour shifts.
• Lead incident bridges and investigate severe customer-impacting issues.
• Review and monitor changes to ensure stability and low risk.
• Build alerting and monitoring in GCP and other tools.
• Improve reliability via SRE practices, blameless postmortems, and SLIs.
• Support deployments and CI/CD pipelines; ensure prod-readiness.
• Own services, address risks, and manage KTLO tasks.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to teams.

This team supports the operations of the \"Reservations\" suite of products at Sabre and is globally distributed across US, Poland and India. This role will focus on ensuring the stability and reliability of the services, automated delivery, increasing velocity of releases, and working with us on incorporating best practices, high quality and ensuring overall great customer experience for Sabre customers.
