Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery in Poland is seeking a seasoned scripted content developer to lead local HBO Max projects, shaping the creative direction and growth of Polish original series.

You will oversee development with writers and producers, build industry relationships, evaluate scripts, and provide editorial notes to ensure compelling storytelling. This role follows a hybrid work model and reports to the Lead, Original Production Poland, contributing to long-term strategy and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in scripted content development, preferably gained within a broadcaster, streaming platform, production company or other audiovisual organisation.
• Strong understanding of the scripted development process, including story structure, character development, script evaluation and creative feedback.
• Ability to analyse scripts, treatments and project materials and translate editorial observations into clear, practical notes.
• Good knowledge of the local audiovisual market, creative talent landscape and audience expectations, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, reliability and sound judgement in handling creative, business and talent-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the development of scripted series projects in close collaboration with screenwriters, producers and relevant internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the audiovisual industry to identify, source and develop high-quality scripted projects, while identifying, recommending and helping secure screenwriters, creators and creative talent.
• Prepare editorial evaluations, script analyses and development notes for scripted projects at various stages of development.
• Contribute to defining the creative vision, artistic direction and core premises of new scripted series projects, while shaping their long-term creative direction and development strategy.
• Provide creative guidance and constructive feedback to writers to support the highest possible quality of storytelling, structure and character development.
• Collaborate closely with creative producers, showrunners, directors and other key creative partners throughout the development process.
• Work in close partnership with the HBO Max Development and Production team and report directly to the Lead, Original Production Poland to ensure alignment on creative priorities, timelines and project objectives.
