We're looking for a seasoned leader with over 7 years' experience in the renewable or infrastructure sectors, analytical skills, and a proven track record in managing complex supplier relationships. Offshore Planning & External Resource Management is an established function within the Construction Supplier & External Management Department at Vestas Northern and Central Europe (NCE). The team is responsible for planning and coordinating site personnel and technicians for offshore construction projects, as well as supporting related back-office functions. They ensure the supply of subcontractor technicians and supervisors for the Pre-installation, Installation, and Commissioning phases of offshore projects. Additionally, they manage supplier relationships with a strategic focus on performance, development, and long-term strategic alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage offshore construction suppliers and develop strategic relationships to ensure high-quality service
  • Build partnerships with installation suppliers and contribute to commercial agreements and scopes of work
  • Align and forecast resource needs across offshore project phases, ensuring supplier capacity matches demand
  • Own the supplier performance framework and implement continuous improvement strategies based on lessons learned
  • Handle commercial negotiations, resolve disputes, and manage escalations using performance insights
  • Identify and mitigate risks in supplier relationships while staying informed on market trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure supplier readiness and alignment with project requirements

Qualifications

  • Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related discipline
  • Brings over 7 years of experience in offshore construction, supplier management, or resource planning
  • Has a background in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Demonstrates effective leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex supplier relationships
  • Has held managerial roles for at least 8 years, with a focus on strategic supplier oversight
  • Fluent in English
