Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Lead Fullstack Developer who can deliver complex web applications, guide technical teams, and leverage modern AI capabilities. You will architect solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure and mentor engineers across the delivery lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years shipping fullstack apps, strong Node.js backend and React or Angular frontend, and hands-on cloud experience. You'll work in a hybrid setup with several Polish offices and opportunities to collaborate with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience shipping fullstack applications.
• Advanced back-end proficiency with Node.js.
• Front-end experience with React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical AI experience with generative AI APIs and ML-powered features.
• Leadership in mentoring engineers and guiding architecture decisions within agile teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, testing, and observability.

Job description

We are seeking a Lead Fullstack Developer with a proven ability to deliver complex web applications, guide technical teams, and leverage modern AI capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in either Node.js on the back end and React or Angular on the front end, and is comfortable architecting solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Please note, office work at least 3 days from EPAM office in Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Katowice or Lodz is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of fullstack applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
• Mentor and coach cross-functional developers, establishing best practices around code quality, testing, DevOps, and AI integration
• Collaborate with product, UX, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable value
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services where appropriate, optimizing workflows and customer experiences through automation and intelligence

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with a strong track record of shipping fullstack applications
• Advanced proficiency in back-end development with Node.js
• Experienced in front-end development using React or Angular
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Practical AI experience (e.g., integrating generative AI APIs, building ML-powered features, deploying AI-enabled services, building GitHub Copilot custom agents, using Claude Code, doing MCPs development and integration, SDD (BMad, GitHub spec-kit), n8n, RAG, etc.)
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers, guiding architecture decisions, and managing code quality within agile teams
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automated testing, and observability best practices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
