Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a mid‑career Lead Electronics Engineer to design, develop and deliver subsea production control systems. You will create high‑quality electrical designs, perform analyses and documentations while ensuring compliance with standards.

You’ll mentor and guide teams across projects, supporting offshore, workshop and manufacturing activities. The role emphasizes leadership in design reviews, technical governance and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Controls Engineering with strong theory.
  • Proven experience in electrical/electronic design, AC/DC systems, analogue/digital electronics and component selection.
  • Ability to work in an international team and write clear documentation in English.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical/electronic engineering designs, analyses and calculations.
  • Produce, review and maintain engineering documentation (schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, specs, test procedures, BOMs).
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality engineering packages with safety and compliance.
  • Respond to technical queries and support offshore/workshop activities and investigations.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design issues.
  • Support development of power, control, communication and electronic/PCBA systems.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and promote best engineering practice.
  • Provide technical oversight, run design reviews, guide engineers, assure standards compliance and act as technical contact.

We are seeking mid‑career Lead Electronics Engineers to support the design, development and delivery of subsea production control systems. In this role, you will produce high‑quality electrical and electronic designs, calculations and documentation while ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering packages and support manufacturing, testing and occasional operational activities.

Mid‑career candidates stepping into a lead position will provide technical direction, design assurance and mentorship, acting as key technical focal points to guide teams and ensure consistent, high‑quality engineering delivery across projects.

As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering electrical/electronic engineering designs, analyses and calculations in line with company, client and international standards.

  • Producing, reviewing and maintaining engineering documentation (schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, specs, test procedures, BOMs).

  • Ensuring on‑time delivery of high‑quality engineering packages with full safety and compliance.

  • Responding to technical queries and support workshop/offshore activities and investigations.

  • Performing root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design issues.

  • Supporting development of power, control, communication and electronic/PCBA systems.

  • Collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and promoting best engineering practice.

  • Provide technical oversight, run design reviews, guide engineers, assure standards compliance and act as key technical contact for projects.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Controls Engineering with strong theory foundation.

  • Have proven experience with electrical/electronic design, AC/DC systems, analogue/digital electronics and component selection.

  • Have confidence working in an international team, fluent English is a requirement as well as strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with capability to write clear documentation.

  • Be able to create and interpret schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams and product documentation.

  • Have knowledge of IEC, CE and other relevant international standards plus risk, EHS and QA processes.

  • Have competency in Creo, Altium, AutoCAD, PLM tools and relevant analysis software.

  • Be flexible, collaborative and able to support manufacturing, testing and offshore/workshop tasks when required.

  • Demonstrated leadership in decision‑making, mentoring, technical governance, and coordination of engineering delivery.

The initial pay range for this position will be PLN 146,000 To 270,000. There are no provisions of any collective agreement relating to pay which will be applied to this position.
