Job summary

Mars Snacking, Engineering Department, Location: Janaszówek/Sochaczew, is seeking a Project Engineer Automation & Controls (f/m/x). This role leads capital investment projects focused on automation, controls, electrical systems and factory digitalization, combining project leadership with deep technical expertise in industrial control systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, including delivering capital investment or industrial improvement projects.
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens and Rockwell, including troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Knowledge of SCADA, MES, industrial networks and factory digitalization solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital investment projects from concept through execution, commissioning and handover to operations.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and in line with agreed business objectives.
• Manage automation and controls-related project activities, including PLC, SCADA, MES, industrial networks and factory IT systems.
• Define technical requirements and develop solutions together with manufacturing, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with Mars engineering standards, quality requirements, food safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing teams in the areas of automation, controls and electrical systems.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of global and regional engineering standards, while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
