Job summary

ICEYE seeks an AIT Engineering Team Lead in Warsaw to drive assembly, integration, and test of satellite systems and optical payloads. You will lead the AIT team, coordinate with optical, mechanical, electrical, and production groups, and ensure readiness before builds.

You will mentor engineers, optimize processes, and act as the technical focal point during spacecraft builds and campaigns in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on spacecraft AIT or system integration experience.
• Strong experience with spacecraft integration and system-level testing across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience with optical payloads or Earth Observation systems.
• Experience working with complex precision hardware in cleanroom or controlled environments.
• Strong system-level understanding across mechanical, electrical, optical, and systems engineering.
• Experience with DFM/DFT principles and translating design requirements into manufacturable and testable solutions.
• Experience with AIT processes, test procedures, verification, and technical documentation.
• Experience with GSE, tooling, fixtures, or test setups used for integration and testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with MES, ERP, test data management, or similar production systems.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of configuration-controlled production and engineering environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AIT Engineering team with clear priorities and mentorship.
• Oversee assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems as technical focal point.
• Support integration and validation of externally supplied optical payloads.
• Combine leadership with hands-on spacecraft integration, testing, troubleshooting, verification.
• Ensure AIT readiness including tools, ground support equipment, procedures and documentation.
• Drive root-cause analysis of integration/test issues and feed lessons back to Engineering/Production.
• Bridge Production and Engineering by translating design requirements into practical processes.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Define and improve AIT processes, test methods, tooling, fixtures, and documentation.
• Support production ramp-up by improving integration efficiency and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and build technical capabilities within AIT organization.
