Job summary

Roche is seeking a Custom Software Developer (Lead IT Expert) within the RDT Artificial Intelligence team. The role focuses on shaping developer experience, delivering reference architectures, and leading technical consultancies to bridge AI platforms with real-world business value.

You will mentor engineering communities, drive platform adoption, and ensure quality, security and compliance across deployments in a hybrid work model with two in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with leadership in developer platforms and enterprise environments
• Proven track record of driving developer enablement and bridging AI platform tech with real-world adoption
• Strong background in writing code and evaluating end-to-end architecture and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Set strategic technical direction for user experience, enablement platforms and adoption journeys for AI offerings
• Author production-ready blueprints, starter kits and unified platform interface components
• Lead technical consultancy sessions, evaluate complex use cases and mentor engineering communities
• Translate field insights into inputs for platform roadmap to drive value and adoption
• Embed guardrails, security best practices and GxP compliance into accelerators and workflows
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to foster collaboration and drive community engagement
• Drive developer community engagement and establish best practices for software delivery
