Job summary

Box is seeking a Warsaw-based engineering leader to build and grow an 5–7 engineer team within the Box Extract organization. You will shape the team roadmap, own delivery outcomes, and partner with product and US-based stakeholders to drive scalable AI-powered content extraction initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering management, 5+ years in software development across full-stack applications, and strong understanding of distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and grow a Warsaw-based engineering team (5–7 engineers)
• Define roadmaps, execution strategy, and delivery outcomes
• Ensure strong delivery predictability with planning, estimation, and execution
• Collaborate on system design and technical decisions
• Develop team members through 1:1s, coaching, and performance management
• Establish a collaborative, accountable team culture
• Drive high standards in execution, quality, and scalability
• Organize team processes (stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions)
• Coordinate with product and partner teams to align priorities
• Manage cross-team dependencies and communicate risks transparently
• Represent Box internally and externally
