We are looking for an L1/L2 Support Engineer to work on our customer’s projects, specifically located in the Powai area of Mumbai.

Our customer is one of the most prominent Tech Startups, recognized in France and abroad for its technical leadership and open-source contributions. It is a global leader in software defined storage, serving over 300 customers in more than 30 countries, including major telecom operators, banks, TV stations, and hospitals.

As a Support Engineer, you will:

• Provide integration support and consulting for our on-premises file and object storage platform and multi-cloud data controller.
• Assist and guide customers on technical and functional challenges.
• Participate in R&D projects at various stages, including requirements, technological barriers, product evolution, and prototype testing.
• Propose new and disruptive solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experienced Linux sysadmin eager to expand expertise in current market technologies. Curious about the bigger picture beyond servers.
• Good understanding of hosting environments and data flow from disk to user.
• Passionate about Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, ELK, Redis, MongoDB, SaltStack, Ansible, S3; strong customer focus and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality documentation.

Must-have Skills:

• At least 4+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Deep understanding of Linux architecture, x86 hardware, RAID, and file systems.
• Scripting skills in Shell, Python, and/or Perl.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools (SaltStack, Ansible).
• Experience managing large, high-availability, distributed environments.
• Knowledge of storage systems (NAS, SAN, object storage).
• Familiarity with S3 and REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work in distributed, diverse teams.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Soft Skills:

• Clear, positive, and efficient communication with users, partners, and colleagues.
• Ability to submit detailed product defect reports and change requests.
• Capability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in creating and improving procedures and documentation.
• English and Hindi language skills (written and spoken).
