Job description

The KYC Operations Intmd Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting activities in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to assist Front Office with their KYC duties and manage a dedicated KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.

What you'll do:
  • Requirements Elicitation and Definition: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, system owners, and end-users, to elicit, document, and translate complex compliance and business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for KYC processes
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert, offering strategic advice to Front Office teams on KYC related matters. You will help define and enforce operational standards and best practices, ensuring procedures are understood and followed.
  • Information Synthesis and Prioritization: Synthesize and prioritize business needs from various stakeholders, validating information to ensure they are completed in timely manner.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Actively manage and mitigate risk in all business decisions. This includes ensuring the firm's reputation is protected, safeguarding Citigroup's assets and clients, and strictly adhering to all applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC laws, rules, and regulations. You will be responsible for applying sound ethical judgment, escalating control issues with full transparency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
What we need from you:
  • Experience: 3-6 years of proven experience in KYC role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Domain Knowledge: Direct experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and processes is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage and interpret complex information.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
