Job summary

Uncapped, a fintech company, seeks a Junior KYC Analyst in a hybrid role based in Warsaw. You will process due diligence, onboard customers, verify UBOs, and screen for sanctions/PEPs to balance risk with a smooth onboarding experience.

Join the Services Team to work with Product, Operations and Risk, and help scale processes. US hours every other week, English fluency, and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with KYC and EDD case processing for UK/EU customers.
• Fluent English in writing and speaking; strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience using JIRA and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onboard customers per internal policies, including UBO identification and sanctions/PEP checks.
• Perform enhanced due diligence reviews on business customers and their owners.
• Generate and maintain appropriate case documentation.
• Escalate complex cases for resolution.
• Handle ad-hoc due diligence tasks.
• Suggest automation/workflow improvements to improve onboarding efficiency.

Hybrid role based in Warsaw

Role Overview

At Uncapped, we help ambitious founders realise their dreams. We are seeking a highly motivated Junior KYC Analyst to join the Services Team to help our customers to cross the finish line after applying for our product. You will be responsible for processing due diligence cases in order to optimise customer experience and minimise risk exposure. You’ll work closely with your colleagues in Product, Operations and Risk to create processes that can help us scale at pace whilst maintaining high standards of service.

About the Operations Team

We are responsible for being the main customer point of contact during their journey at Uncapped. Our talks are about all the different subjects! You will learn about how different businesses operate around the countries we support in the many lines of business. A normal day in this team will never be a boring one! There is always something different happening, and we need to think how we will tackle this keeping the customer's best interest in mind.

What you will do

• Onboarding customers based on our internal policies and procedures, including UBO identification, and evaluation Sanctions, PEPs, and Adverse Media alerts
• Perform enhanced due diligence reviews on business customers and their owners, ensuring a seamless, low-friction onboarding experience.
• Generate and maintain appropriate case documentation
• Escalate any issues or complex cases and ensure their resolution
• Other ad-hoc business due diligence-related tasks
• Identify bottlenecks in the onboarding flow and suggest automation or workflow improvements to drive efficiencies across the flow

Requirements

Who you are

• Available to work in shifts to cover U.S. hours every other week from 14:00 to 22:00 CET.
• Preferred experience in processing KYC and EDD cases for UK/EU commercial lending or banking customers
• Someone who is able to spot inconsistencies in financial documents or company filings that others might miss
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s level degree or professional qualification
• Good oral and written communication skills required
• Fluency in verbal and written English is required.
• Experience using JIRA and SQL is a plus
