Job summary

IG Group in Kraków is expanding its retail KYC team, taking ownership of the more complex onboarding cases. As a KYC Analyst, you will handle higher-risk scenarios, support junior colleagues, and ensure onboarding is fast, accurate, and compliant as our client base grows.

You will join a regulatory-aware environment with collaboration across Compliance, Sales, and Operations, benefiting from a hybrid working model and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and training.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in KYC/AML in retail financial services.
• Solid end-to-end KYC and onboarding knowledge.
• Strong risk awareness across operations, compliance and reputation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and guidelines.
• Good MS Excel skills and data reporting.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with internationally regulated retail clients.
• Ability to handle queries and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end review and onboarding for retail clients, including complex/high-risk cases.
• Serve as a point of contact for onboarding queries and complaints; resolve cases and de-escalate.
• Identify exceptions and process gaps; propose risk-reducing improvements.
• Provide training and mentor to KYC Associates.
• Stay current on regulatory and AML developments; update procedures.
• Identify system/process issues and keep the team lead informed.
• Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes and controls.

About the Role

IG is growing its retail KYC team in Kraków, and this role owns the more complex end of client onboarding. As a KYC Analyst, you’ll handle higher-risk and exception cases, support and guide junior colleagues, and help keep onboarding fast, accurate, and compliant as our retail client base grows.

About the Team

This role sits within the KYC team, reporting into the KYC Team Lead/Manager. The team onboards new retail clients and performs ongoing KYC checks across IG’s retail client base, working closely with Compliance, Sales, and wider Operations. KYC Analysts bring a layer of experience and quality oversight above the Associate population.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on account opening cases as a KYC Analyst, owning end-to-end review and onboarding for retail clients, including more complex, higher-risk, or exception cases.

• Act as an experienced point of contact for client queries and complaints related to onboarding and KYC, resolving complex cases and de‑escalating where needed.

• Identify exceptions and process gaps across retail onboarding and provide recommendations to reduce risk.

• Provide training and act as a buddy/mentor to KYC Associates during their onboarding and early development.

• Stay current on regulatory and AML developments, taking ownership of relevant procedural updates.

• Proactively identify and elevate system or process issues, keeping the team lead informed.

• Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes and controls.

Role Requirements

• 1–2 years’ experience performing KYC/AML activities, ideally within retail financial services.

• Solid understanding of end-to-end KYC and retail client onboarding processes.

• Strong risk awareness (operational, compliance, and reputational).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel; comfortable working with data and operational reporting.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Experience working with an internationally regulated retail client base.

• Confident handling client queries and resolving complaints through at least one channel (email, phone, or other communication channels), with good judgement on escalation.

Desirable

• Experience training, coaching, or mentoring junior team members.

• Exposure to process improvement, quality assurance, or audit work.

• Experience partnering with internal or external audit teams.

• Experience using AI tools to support day‑to‑day work.
