Job summary

Schibsted Media’s Video and Audio team builds the central streaming platform powering live events, podcasts, and on-demand video across several outlets. You will work on transcoding pipelines, metadata enrichment, and playback experiences, leveraging cloud services and modern orchestration tools.

You’ll join a hybrid team with offices in Kraków and Oslo, contributing to initiatives around AI for audio/video and expanding infrastructure for scalable media delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Node.js with TypeScript for backend services.
• Strong frontend experience with React.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS).
• Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to VOD/LIVE video transcoding and related workflows.
• Collaborate on media publishing, transcoding, and metadata enhancement.
• Engage in cloud, CI/CD, and AWS/Microsoft Azure tooling as needed.
