Job summary

Stadler is seeking a RAMS/LCC engineer to support reliability, safety and lifecycle cost activities for power converter systems across multiple project phases. You will assist with RAMS documentation and collaborate with electrical, mechanical and software teams in a railway context.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, shows analytical mindset, and is keen to learn railway standards and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a related technical field.
  • Initial exposure to RAM, reliability, safety, or systems engineering is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Interest in railway systems, power electronics, or complex technical products.
  • Analytical mindset and a structured approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn new methods, standards, and tools.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Good communication skills in German as a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support RAMS and LCC activities for power converter systems across various project phases.

  • Contribute to Life Cycle Cost (LCC) calculations and technical evaluations.
  • Support risk and failure analyses under the guidance of senior RAMS engineers.

  • Gradually build knowledge of railway standards, processes, and certification requirements.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of RAMS/LCC methods and tools.
