Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Junior Java Software Engineer to join a lean, autonomous engineering team in Warsaw. You will work directly with clients to build scalable, high-performance platforms and contribute to a culture of transparency and trust.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers; write PRDs, tests, and design docs; and own modules from idea to production when needed. Strong Java, SQL, and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Java, SQL, and unit testing.
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures, CI, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of application security and familiarity with Git.
• Excellent English communication skills (B2) with client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with Java, SQL, and unit testing
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures, continuous integration, and Google Cloud Platform
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of application security
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Excellent English communication skills (B2 level) with experience in client-facing communications
• Strong self-management and prioritization skills
• Capability to work in an agile environment without direct supervision
• Understanding of information management, data modeling, system integration, and development methodologies
• Nice to have Familiarity with Google Cloud Spanner
