Job summary

Cognizant Kraków is seeking a Junior GIS Data Configuration Specialist to execute data processing workflows for partner-provided content, ensuring real-time information such as road closures is ingested and displayed accurately.

You will work with JSON/XML data formats, apply GIS basics, and collaborate with data providers to troubleshoot issues, maintaining high data quality under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English at least B2.
• Foundational GIS data and map-based workflows.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML is a plus.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with data accuracy.
• Professional attitude with partners and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Configure new requests to translate third-party data into the platform's internal format for visualization.
• Analyze incoming data structures (JSON/XML) to derive actionable insights.
• Collaborate with partners to troubleshoot, test, and fix data issues.
• Apply foundational GIS knowledge to verify spatial features and data configuration.
• Query data using SQL for analysis and verification.
• Investigate configuration errors and perform standard data processing workflows.
• Maintain attention to detail and deliver accurate results.
• Work independently and in a team, raising systemic issues when needed.
• Contribute to failure analysis to identify root causes of problems.
