Job summary

Publicis Re:Sources in Lublin is seeking a Junior GL Accountant to support General Ledger operations, ensure accurate financial data, and maintain compliance with internal procedures and audit requirements.

You will perform month-end closing tasks, post standard and recurring journal entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, handle intercompany matching, depreciation checks, and assist with tax declarations and external reporting, all while following SOPs and striving for process

Qualifications

• Degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; SAP/HFM/BlackLine knowledge is advantageous.
• English at B1 level; additional languages may be required.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end closing tasks according to the close calendar and cut-off rules
• Post standard and recurring journal entries (accruals, payroll, prepaids, bank entries)
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations using standard templates
• Perform intercompany matching and support confirmations
• Execute fixed asset accounting activities (capitalization, depreciation checks, disposals)
• Identify posting errors, perform first-level analysis, and escalate issues timely
• Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence
• Work strictly according to SOPs, Janus, SLA and internal control requirements
• Support audits, internal checks, and ad-hoc requests
• Actively participate in knowledge transfer, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Preparation and submission of tax declarations to Tax Authorities (VAT) (where applicable)
• Handling statistics and other external reporting activities (where applicable)
• Prepare management reports and analysis as needed
• Perform other tasks based on serving country requirements and supervisor’s requests

Overview
