Job summary

Splunk is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to contribute to development, testing, documentation, and operation of services and internal engineering interfaces that support engineering quality signals.

You will participate in the software development cycle with guidance, write unit tests, and help deploy changes. This role focuses on straightforward business problems via small-to-medium features while learning internal tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years related experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical coding experience in Python or Go.
• Fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, debugging, and writing maintainable code.
• Understanding of APIs, HTTP, databases, automated testing, and SDLC.
• Ability to read logs, investigate defects, and troubleshoot with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain services and internal engineering interfaces for quality signals collection and exposure.
• Write tests, documentation, and support deployment readiness across the software lifecycle.
• Participate in design and code reviews, address feedback, and collaborate with team members.
