What You’ll Do
  • Build and deliver Java components for internal business users.
  • Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions that meet today’s needs and tomorrow’s growth.
  • Apply best-practice software design principles with strong test coverage (TDD/BDD mindset).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, PMs, and stakeholders across global locations.
  • Coordinate with other tech teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
  • Own your work — from design to production support when needed.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing.
What You’ll Bring

Core Technical Skills

  • 10+ years Java development experience in high-performance, concurrent environments
  • Strong track record in investment banking / financial markets IT
  • Familiarity with distributed/data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Scala, Haskell) is a plus

Development Tools & Ways of Working

  • Solid experience with TDD/BDD, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Comfortable working in agile, iterative delivery models

Other Strengths

  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Organized, adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or similar

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge of functional programming (e.g. Haskell)
