Citi in Warsaw is seeking an experienced Java developer to join the Risk Technology Team. You will contribute to the end-to-end delivery of risk solutions for rates and derivatives, collaborating with a global client base.

The role requires 8+ years of Java with Spring Boot and microservices, plus hands-on experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL and MongoDB in distributed systems.

This is a hands-on, high-availability environment with strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in modern Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, MongoDB.

• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality

• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Team/Role Overview

Risk Technology is focused on delivering solutions to the Rates Trading desks. This team develops and maintains a complete suite of Risk technology solutions, for both the Rates and FX (including Derivatives) Businesses. This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to different asset classes in a Tier 1 investment bank working with a global team with a client base spanning 70+ countries.

Responsibilities

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in modern Java development with strong Spring Boot and Microservices
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Excellent understanding of distributed system design, data structures and algorithms
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, MongoDB
• Experience with high availability, resiliency, and low-latency applications (a plus)
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
