Job summary

Britenet is seeking a Software Developer to join our agile development team. You’ll work on JVM-based solutions with Java and Kotlin, using Spring or Micronaut, focusing on memory management and performance.

Experience with Solr/Elasticsearch and MongoDB is valued, as is Docker/Kubernetes and strong testing practices. The role supports hybrid/remote work with occasional travel to Warsaw and collaboration across teams to deliver robust software throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Min 4 years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Kotlin with Spring and Micronaut frameworks.
• Degree in a technical field (STEM preferred).
• Deep understanding of JVM execution, memory management, and performance tuning.
• Experience with search technologies Solr and Elasticsearch, preferably in Adtech.
• Background in microservices and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, plus strong TDD/unit/integration testing practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.
• Willingness to occasionally visit the client's office in Warsaw.

• Participation in team meetings and collaborative creation and execution of tasks.
• Active involvement in delivering increasingly better programming solutions throughout the full project lifecycle — code reviews, testing others’ changes, deployment, maintaining cloud infrastructure, and creating documentation.

Job description

• Min. 4 years of experience as a Software Developer
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Kotlin, alongside hands‑on experience with the Spring and Micronaut frameworks
• Degree in a technical field (STEM discipline preferred)
• Deep understanding of JVM execution, memory management, and performance tuning
• Proven experience with search technologies, specifically Apache Solr and Elasticsearch, preferably within the Adtech domain
• Solid background in microservices architecture and working knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, coupled with strong adherence to TDD, unit testing, and integration testing practices
• Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level
• Willingness to occasionally visit the client's office in Warsaw, subject to prior arrangement
