Job summary

A leading financial institution in the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia area is seeking a Java Dev Engineer to join the GDMSSync team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Java, Spring framework, and CI/CD pipelines with at least 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include feature analysis, incident management, and process improvement. Candidates with a good understanding of Docker and Agile methodologies will have an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of Java 17+, Spring framework, GIT, and Maven.
  • Ability to create and support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and development of new features and maintaining existing ones.
  • Assist the squad with incident handling and checks after changes.
  • Contribute to process improvements in the squad.

Overview

  • Are able to create and support CI/CD pipeline for your project
  • Have Docker, OpenShift and Kafka knowledge
  • Are not afraid of challenges related to monitoring production system and incident solving
  • Are able to identify problems, analyse key information and propose the best solutions
  • Are a team player
  • Have min. 3 years of experience on similar position or so

English level - B2

Your responsibilities:

In this role as Java Dev Engineer you will be part of the GDMSSync team which is responsible for 2 applications (multiply microservices) in Archive domain of the ING BankNetherlands.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis and development of new features and maintaining existing ones
  • Assist the squad and related squads in required tasks like incident handling, doing checks after changes, etc.
  • Fully contribute to improving the squad’s processes whilst also ensuring all mandatory requirements such as IT risk control, change control etc. are adhered to
  • Contribute to improvements and be proactively engaged in the teams Scrum ceremonies.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
