Hiberus is seeking a Java Developer to work on a backend system for high-volume message processing using Apache Kafka and a microservices architecture. The role involves implementing features, writing tests, and maintaining documentation within a Scrum team.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years in Java backend development, practical Kafka knowledge, Docker/containerization experience, and familiarity with microservices and event-driven processing. Angular is a nice-to-have;

We are looking for a Java Developer with experience in backend application development. You will join a project focused on developing an advanced system for high-volume message processing, built on Apache Kafka and a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing new features in line with business requirements.
• Writing unit tests.
• Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation.
• Implementing fixes, refactoring code, and optimizing performance.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code consistency and high quality.
• Collaborating within a Scrum team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• In a later stage of the project: investigating and resolving production issues and supporting the operations team.

Technology Stack: Java 21, Spring Boot 3.5, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, JUnit 5, Gradle, OpenTelemetry.

Infrastructure & CI/CD: Docker, Harbor, RKE2, Jenkins.

Experience required
