Job summary

TalentBank is a 9-month paid internship program at Commerzbank AG's Digital Technology Centre in Poland, Łódź. The Java Developer Intern will build and maintain software in a largely Java-based stack and help drive a paperless bank initiative.

You will work in an international team, using Agile methodologies, with opportunities to learn SAPERION, Doxis4, and related tech. We welcome students after the second year or graduates within 12 months of graduation, with basic Java and Maven knowledge

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated (within 12 months) in technical, mathematical, business, finance, economics or related fields.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot in a teamwork setting.
• Familiarity with software testing using Maven is a plus.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
• Willingness to travel to Frankfurt by appointment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications per business requirements.
• Perform defect analysis and bug fixing.
• Handle software configuration management and development tasks.
• Create technical documentation for components and systems.
• Participate in technical reviews of system components.

TalentBank is an original internship program of the Digital Technology Centre in Poland, which aims to enable students and graduates to gain professional experience in the IT/banking industry. The project can be attended by people who are students or graduates (up to 12 months after graduation). We look for students after second year of technical, mathematical, business, finance, economic or related studies.

Java Developer Intern

The mission of the cluster Document Lifecycle (DL) is to enable a paperless bank. DL creates a globally consistent and complete Commerzbank archive and front-end infrastructure for document generation, scanning, electronic transport and archiving for bank and client.

The cluster is responsible for a range of more than 70 applications including standard products such as Assentis DocFamily, Doxis4 and SAPERION as well as in-house developed software. The main platforms in use are Linux/Solaris, Windows and Mainframe (IBM z/OS).

The Java Developer implements and maintains software based on business requirements or incidents and performs optimisations and performance tasks. He/she designs, plans and implements Java applications depending on bank standard architectures and business requirements.

He/she shares own technical knowledge with other team colleagues.

Person in this position can complete his/her role independently.
