Project Description

In this role you will develop and maintain Java-based services and REST APIs, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to system architecture focused on reliability, security, and code quality. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD processes, automated testing, code reviews, and production support.

Hybrid position: expected to be in the office 6–8 days per month in Kraków.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java backend services, REST APIs, and microservices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Support production systems, resolve incidents, and troubleshoot issues
• Contribute to system architecture focused on performance and reliability
• Work in Agile teams using CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews
• Maintain technical documentation and improve engineering practices
• Act as a technical SME for application and support‑related topics
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers

Key Requirements

• Advanced English speaking and writing skills
• Strong commercial experience with Java (8/11/17/21) and Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Familiarity with React, MQ/Solace, Redis, and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven/Gradle, and DevOps tooling
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Jenkins)
• Understanding of application security and testing practices
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams
• Self‑driven, customer‑oriented, and comfortable owning tasks end‑to‑end
