Payair Technologies is seeking a Java Developer to join our backend team in Łódź, Poland. You will develop and maintain Java applications for fintech products, collaborating with teams in Poland and Sweden.

The role requires at least 2 years of commercial Java experience, REST APIs, and fluent English. We offer hybrid work (50%), flexible contracts, a competitive salary, training budget, and team events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with payment applications is a plus.
• Experience with Quarkus framework is a plus.
• Fluent English (min. B2).
• Team player with positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining software applications using Java technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established design standards.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code.
• Contribute to technical discussions and implementation approaches.
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve technical challenges.
• Break down user stories into tasks and estimate time.
• Work with product owner to understand requirements and implement features.
• Test and debug code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
