Job summary

Accenture Poland is hiring a Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+ with Spring Framework and Spring Boot 3.x. You will work on Nasdaq Calypso-based financial systems, integrate messaging platforms, and optimize database queries.

You will implement tests with JUnit and follow secure coding practices. The role offers flexible work arrangements (remote, onsite, or hybrid) and access to extensive training, development paths, and well-being programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Backend Developer.
• Experience with Nasdaq Calypso software.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ/JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with SQL Developer.
• Experience in writing tests (unit, integration, functional) using JUnit or similar libraries.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and common application vulnerabilities.
• Solid knowledge of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Understanding of application observability concepts, including logging and metrics.
• Good written and spoken English (B2+).
• Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Work with Nasdaq Calypso platform to support and enhance financial systems.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka, JMS/ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Develop and optimize database queries using SQL Developer.
• Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, and functional) using JUnit and related tools.
• Apply secure coding practices and contribute to improving application reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, maintainable solutions based on clean code and design patterns.
• Manage flexible work arrangements, including remote work, onsite at a client, or within an Accenture office, as project requirements dictate.
