Job summary

Jit Team in Poland is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design, build and modernize backend integration components for a securities platform. You will work on Java-based microservices and enterprise integrations within a Scrum environment, contributing to deployment, testing and knowledge sharing.

The role requires deep Java expertise, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and hands-on experience with Kafka/IBM MQ, Kubernetes, and RESTful services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java backend development in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL skills; Oracle experience preferred.
• Messaging and event-driven integration with IBM MQ and Kafka.
• Familiarity with containerised environments and Kubernetes.
• Experience with REST services, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Maven, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automated testing with JUnit and Testcontainers.
• Ability to analyze requirements, system flows, logs and data flows.
• Fluent English to operate in an international environment.

Responsibilities

Salary: 1000 - 1300 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: Hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa (2/3 days per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on developing and modernising backend integration components around the Safekeeping and Corporate Actions platform. The work involves Java‑based microservices and integration components connecting IMSecurities with other Nordea systems. The platform is undergoing intensive development, including migration of business flows and volumes, implementation of new business logic, and rearchitecture of existing application components. Working in a Scrum environment, you will contribute to development, analysis, deployment activities, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Responsibilities

• Experience with REST services, microservices and integration patterns
