Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an IT Manager to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.
This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services on a military island. The contract supports all IT related efforts varying in complexity from minor/major system upgrades, renovations, to existing facilities, and new construction. The priority is to implement and maintain a successful O&M program to provide life, health and safety for site personnel, while ensuring continuous operations of the site infrastructure. The IT Manager will manage IT support and management organization and to interface with the KO, COR, and organizations to meet all requirements within this specification while ensuring successful performance and compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), Program, USG, and international requirements and guidelines. Ensures compliance with standard management practices including but not limited to monitoring, records keeping, report preparation, training, inspections, data reporting, etc. Will perform other duties as assigned. The IT Manager will be available for on‑call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.
Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies. Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds. Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. May work in a typical office environment.
