IT Data Analytics Assistant

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the TL&G Project Team, providing essential support to project leads, scientists, and other employees to ensure the seamless execution of testing projects. Your responsibilities will include managing testing requests, coordinating sample shipments, and facilitating the timely delivery of results. Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project coordinators to enhance the throughput of results delivered to clients by assisting in testing request processing and sample coordination.
• Create testing requests in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) based on input from requestors and other systems.
• Coordinate sample shipments to dedicated laboratories by preparing necessary documentation, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that arise.
• Regularly monitor the availability of testing results and promptly transfer them to requestors, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
• Liaise with internal and external laboratories to coordinate and follow up on simple, standard projects, providing timely testing status updates.
• Identify pain points, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities in the request submission and management process, proposing and implementing improvement ideas to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with the laboratories' mid-term planning team to ensure alignment with the sourcing strategy, assisting requestors in documenting forecasts for future testing to improve accuracy.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., chemistry, materials preferred) or currently pursuing studies.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related area is preferred.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (fluent).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and effective time management.
• Dependable with solid administrative writing skills and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
