Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the substation design team in Kraków. The role offers hands-on experience with primary/secondary circuits of HV substations and requires a minimum of 20 hours per week in a hybrid office setting.

You will work under senior engineers, assist in drawings and documentation, and learn through real-world projects while developing your technical and teamwork skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering focusing on PSC/SCADA and primary substation equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our substation design team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical engineering, specifically in the area ofelectrical engineeringof primary/secondary circuits of HV substations. This role requires availability at least 20h per week and you must be able to work in hybrid mode from our office in Kraków.

Your background

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering
• Basic knowledge of electricalengineering –with special attention to P&C, SCADA and Communication areas or primary substation equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD,Zuken E3,EplanP8).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, knowledge of Polish and English (at least B2 level, technical vocabulary)
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, positive can-do attitude
