Job summary

Dolby invites an intern for Software Engineering to contribute to media processing and streaming solutions in a dynamic team in Wrocław, Poland. You will develop tools, work on encoding/ playback, and collaborate across engineering groups to improve media delivery.

The role targets students pursuing BS/MS in CS or Software Engineering with interest in audio/video tech, cross‑platform development, and modern build systems. A flexible work approach helps you balance projects and study.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable field.
  • Experience with audio and video processing solutions.
  • Understanding of audio signal processing.
  • Experience in frontend or full stack software development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various media formats and streaming techniques.
  • Work on media processing and content distribution technologies.
  • Develop and maintain software tools.
  • Collaborate with software engineering team to identify and resolve issues related to media encoding and playback.
  • Review system architectures and system behaviors.
  • Implement build system solutions to support software development.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with various media formats and streaming techniques,
  • Work on media processing and content distribution technologies,
  • Develop and maintain software tools,
  • Collaborate with software engineering team to identify and resolve issues related to media encoding and playback,
  • Review system architectures and system behaviors,
  • Implement build system solutions to support software development.

Requirements:

  • Working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable field,
  • Experience with audio and video processing solutions,
  • Understanding of audio signal processing,
  • Experience in frontend or full stack software development,

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience in media frameworks like GStreamer or AVFoundation,
  • Knowledge/experience in application frameworks like Electron or Qt,
  • Understanding of common media formats (e.g. MP4, MOV or TS) and protocols (e.g. DASH, HLS),
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an ability to debug complex software issues,
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to support software development
  • Experience with version control (Git) and build systems,
  • Experience with cross-platform development (macOS, Windows, Linux).
