Job summary

Cisco's License Manager team builds and evolves core licensing capabilities that power our products. The role focuses on C++ backend development in a collaborative engineering setting, delivering secure and high-performance software with solid test coverage.

You'll work with product management, support, and engineering partners to improve system behavior, investigate issues, and grow ownership over broader technical areas over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience.
• Professional experience delivering and maintaining production software in C++.
• Solid foundation in software design, debugging, testing, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and learn unfamiliar parts of a system.
• Ability to work independently on defined work and write maintainable, well-tested, and secure code.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, debug, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using C++ to support secure, reliable, and scalable product functionality.
• Deliver well-scoped features, fixes, and enhancements from design through implementation and completion.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code with strong unit and integration test coverage to improve product quality and reliability.
• Investigate product and production issues to identify root causes and contribute to durable fixes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product management, support, and engineering partners to improve system behavior, deliver customer value, and grow ownership over broader technical areas over time.
