Job summary

AFRY in Poznań is seeking a Hydrotechnical Designer to work on water infrastructure projects across Europe. You will join a multidisciplinary team, designing hydraulic and civil structures and supporting across feasibility through detailed design.

Requirements include a Master’s in Civil Engineering, 5+ years in infrastructure design, English B2, tendering experience and AVA software (e.g., RIB iTWO). Hybrid work in Poznań/Kraków/Łódź.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in planning and design of infrastructure and engineering structures.
• Good written and spoken English (CEFR B2).
• Experience in tendering, quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
• Experience with AVA or comparable procurement software (e.g. RIB iTWO).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver hydraulic and civil projects through all design and implementation phases.
• Coordinate surveying, geotechnical investigations and hydraulic analyses.
• Prepare feasibility studies, option assessments and technical concepts.
• Develop solutions for retaining walls, waterfront and port structures, pumping stations and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with CAD designers, technicians and other engineers.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop construction concepts and implement strategies, including phasing.
• Contribute to technical solutions and engineering decisions during the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports, memos and planning documents.
• Prepare tender documents, technical specifications and bills of quantities.
• Evaluate bids and prepare award recommendations.
