Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a passionate Java Developer to join a global team in Kraków. You will develop new features, maintain the existing codebase, and work with operations and business analysts to deliver scalable enterprise applications in a demanding hybrid environment.

You should have 2+ years in Java, Spring (Spring Framework/Boot), and Kafka, plus Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, Unix, and SQL. Strong English (B2) and agile, test- and behavior-driven development experience are required;

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Java programming.
• Strong Spring Stack knowledge (Spring Framework, Spring Boot).
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proficient in clean coding and refactoring.
• Hands-on with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
• Familiar with CI/CD practices and Unix.
• SQL databases knowledge.
• Excellent English communication (B2) and global teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and maintain the existing codebase.
• Build streaming applications with Apache Flink.
• Write unit, integration, and behavior tests.
• Collaborate in a Scrum-based development team.
• Refine requirements through behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Partner with other global IT teams.
• Provide level 3 support to production operations.
