Introduction
The Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC), located in Bydgoszcz, Poland, conducts pre-deployment training activities for current theatres of operations and other exercises and training events (TEs) as assigned by Allied Command Transformation (ACT). The JFTC also plans and executes routine NATO Command Structure (NCS) / NATO Response Force (NRF) / NATO Force Structure (NFS) training for operational elements. Scope of training ranges from the individual to formed tactical and operational headquarters levels.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for facilitating the continued development of all aspects of Grey Cell training delivery in accordance with the training requirements and the Commander’s intent.
- Be responsible for facilitating the integration of Grey Cell (Human Security / Gender Perspective) concept development and experiments into training and wargaming in cooperation with the Training Execution Enablement Division.
- Be responsible for developing, planning, preparing, and executing Grey Cell activities in support of MDO wargaming and operational HQ’s training.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrate recent experience in the field of NATO Human Security (past three years) with the ability to work within a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
- Experience in developing and maintaining networks to support JFTC training on Human Security cross cutting themes and incorporating gender perspective in exercises and wargaming.
- Must have experience (past three years) on the five NATO cross cutting themes and the NATO gender initiatives of: Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Children and Armed Conflict, Conflict Related Sexual Violence, Protection of Civilians, Protecting Cultural Property; Women, Peace and Security; and with liaison activities to military forces to include as a member of the Exercise Control for NATO or equivalent UN exercises.
- Experience working with or for Humanitarian organizations and / or working as a liaison to the military on behalf of Humanitarian Organizations.
