Job description

A cutting-edge cross-chain smart contract platform is seeking to bring in an experienced Head of Community with experience in blockchain/crypto projects.

THE ROLE

The role is remote and open to experienced candidates in the UK and Western Europe due to time zones. The Head of Community will lead the Community team, which encompasses Community Management, Events and Developer Relations.

You will create the strategy for supporting and fostering our clients’ community of future token holders, investors, developers, Web3 entrepreneurs, Key Opinion Leaders, and the general public, increasing global reach and engagement across all channels on social media and events.

KEY DUTIES

• Create the Community strategy in alignment with the broader Marketing strategy and business objectives of the organization
• Develop community engagement strategies for the different target audiences for the company: developers, token holders, enterprise, entrepreneurs, general public
• Work closely with Polkadot, Ethereum, Cosmos and other ecosystems to generate relevant community activities
• Manage the Community team to deliver on its OKRs, while supporting team members’ professional growth
• Oversee the engagement with KOLs, reinforcing the visibility of the brand through their followers
• Manage the budget of the community team
• Represent the organisation at key events

THE SUCESFUL CANDIDATE

• 2+ years of senior community management experience with blockchain/Web3 projects OR 5+ years of experience in leading community management teams for Web2 companies
• Deep knowledge of blockchain community programs
• Solid experience managing teams and external suppliers
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Thought leader among Crypto communities on Twitter, Discord, Reddit, Telegram
• Ideally you will have good connections with other blockchain communities (e.g. Ethereum, Cosmos, Polygon), DEXs, CEXs
• Ideally have good contacts with leading KOLs in the crypto space (DeFI, blockchain gaming)
• Ideally be comfortable using decentralized Crypto software such as Metamask, DEXs Liquidity Pools
