Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a technical lead to steer data science engagements end-to-end, from problem framing with clients to validating modeling approaches and production delivery. This hands-on role requires writing Python, challenging model choices, and mentoring a team of data scientists while maintaining governance across platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Databricks and cloud services.

Qualifications

6+ years in data science with models shipped to production.
Minimum 2 years leading or mentoring other data scientists.
Strong Python skills across the standard data stack.

Responsibilities

Own the technical direction of data science engagements from framing to delivery.
Lead and mentor a team of data scientists with code/methodology reviews.
Stay hands-on: prototype approaches and production-grade Python when needed.
Translate client problems into scoped data science workstreams and enforce standards.
Guide platform decisions across cloud/data ecosystems (Fabric, Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure/AWS/GCP).
Represent the team to clients, present results, and manage expectations.
