HSBC Holdings plc is building the app.hsbc platform and seeks a hands-on Developer Relations Engineer (Platform Enablement) to ship practical assets that shorten the path for developers. The role focuses on templates, reference implementations, automation and documentation to reduce friction across teams and scale onboarding.

Based in Poland, you will collaborate with product, engineering and risk teams to deliver credible guidance, secure solutions, and reusable patterns for rapid platform

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on engineering capability with evidence you can build and deliver: templates, automation, reference implementations, onboarding assets and/or developer tooling.
• A practical understanding of developer experience: how to make the "right" path the easiest path through standardisation and automation.
• Confidence writing clear technical content (docs, how‑tos, examples) that scales to large audiences.
• Solid production mindset (security, resilience, observability, supportability) so examples and guidance are credible in a regulated environment.
• Good stakeholder and collaboration skills — you'll work across multiple platform pillars and teams to get outcomes, not just opinions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain golden-path templates and reusable patterns to accelerate onboarding.
• Deliver worked examples from real HSBC projects that teams can adopt directly.
• Improve self-service onboarding to scale across HSBC from day one.
• Run and support feedback loops and turn developer pain points into improvements.
• Write and improve platform documentation as part of the launch gate.
• Partner with product, engineering, architecture and risk/control to ensure guidance is accurate.

We're building app.hsbc, HSBC's new application development platform. We'll win or lose based on whether 30Kdevelopers choose to build on it - not because they're told to.This is a hands‑on Developer Relations Engineer (Platform Enablement) role focused on shipping practical assets that make the platform the path of least resistance: golden-path templates, reference implementations, automationand documentation that developers actually use.Over the next 3-4 years, ~80% of bank workloads are expected to move to the platform. That's why we need people who can build, iterate and deliver at pace - while staying close to developer feedback and turning friction into fixes.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain golden-path templates and reusable patterns that accelerate onboarding and reduce variation across teams.
• Deliver worked examples from real HSBC projects (not toy apps) that teams can adopt directly and that double as adoption "media".
• Improve self-service onboarding so we can scale across HSBC from day one (we can't and won't "white glove" every team).
• Run and support feedback loops (office hours, champions networks, Teams/email channels) and turn developer pain points into shipped improvements - either by building the fix or driving it to the right owning team and tracking it to resolution ("not our team" isn't a resolution).
• Write and improve platform documentation. Documentation is part of our launch gate, and our Definition of Done expects features to ship with it.
• Partner with product, engineering, architecture and risk/control colleagues to ensure guidance is accurate, compliant and practical.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 23433 PLN - 28000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
