FinteqHub in Warszawa is hiring a Go Engineer to join our team working on KYC, Transaction Risk, and Anti-Fraud systems. You will design, build, and evolve backend services powering critical fintech platforms.

This role emphasizes ownership of complex problems, scalable architecture, and reliable production operations, with collaboration across Product, Risk and Compliance teams. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend engineering experience in production environments.
• Deep practical Go experience in production systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Experience designing and evolving APIs and backend contracts.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and data modelling.

• Solid testing, observability, and production operations knowledge.

Purpose of the role:

This is not a role focused simply on implementing tickets. We are looking for an engineer who can take ownership of complex backend problems, make sound architectural decisions, challenge assumptions, and build reliable systems in a domain where security, correctness, and availability matter. You will design, build, and evolve backend services powering our KYC, transaction monitoring, risk, and anti-fraud capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing and building reliable, scalable backend services in Go
• Working on systems responsible for KYC, transaction risk assessment, and fraud prevention
• Designing APIs, data models, and service boundaries
• Making architectural and technical decisions with long-term maintainability in mind
• Building systems that operate reliably under real production load
• Improving observability, performance, resilience and operational tooling
• Working closely with Product, Risk, Compliance and other engineering teams
• Taking ownership from problem definition and technical design through production and operation
• Reviewing designs and code and helping raise the engineering bar across the team

Required Experience:

• Strong professional experience in backend engineering
• Deep practical experience with Go in production
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented / microservice architectures
• Experience designing and evolving APIs and backend contracts
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modelling
• Experience building production systems where reliability, security and correctness are critical
• Good understanding of testing strategies, observability and production operations
• Ability to reason about architectural trade-offs rather than blindly follow established patterns
• Ability to independently drive technically ambiguous problems
• Strong engineering judgement and a high bar for code and system quality
• Comfortable communicating technical decisions and collaborating across teams
• Professional working proficiency in English

• Experience in any of the following is particularly valuable: Fintech/banking/payments, KYC / KYB, AML, transaction monitoring/transaction risk, fraud detection / anti-Fraud systems, risk engines, rules engines, or decisioning platforms, high-volume transactional systems, security-sensitive or regulated environments
