Job summary

Diehl Controls is seeking a Test Systems Team Lead located in Namysłów, Poland. The successful candidate will lead and develop a global team of experts, define and execute the strategy for Test Systems across technologies, and oversee electrical and optical tests.

This full-time position offers professional development, flexible hours, and a family-owned working environment. Candidates are expected to have strong leadership and technical skills, with fluency in English as a requirement.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global multidisciplinary Test Systems team (approx. 12–14 experts in test engineering, hardware, wiring and software).
• Define and execute the global strategy and roadmap for Test Systems across technologies.
• Oversee electrical (ICT, FCT, Flash) and optical test (SPI, AOI, XRay), including software development and test.
• Manage the cost center, including budget planning, forecasting, resource allocation and cost optimization.
• Drive standardization, digitalization and continuous improvement of test systems, acting as a trusted partner for senior management, customers and suppliers.
• Foster innovation, continuous improvement and digitalization within the function, including automation, data-driven decision-making, and process optimization.

Who we are looking for

• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in an international / manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of test systems and manufacturing-related technologies (e.g. ICT, functional test, automation, software/hardware integration).
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Experience in budget planning, cost control and cost center responsibility.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with a structured, results-oriented and solution-focused way of working; fluent English required.
